State Bank of India (SBI) has made major changes since Monday. The bank has changed the names, codes and IFSC codes of more than 1200 branches. Some of the merged SBI branches are also included in this time.
According to media reports, the SBI has uploaded the complete list of the branches, codes and IFSC codes, which have been changed on the official website of the bank. The bank whose branches have changed has included branches like Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Patna etc.
The Gopipura branch in Ahmedabad has been changed to Surat Main (Chowk market). At the same time, its branch code is 488. The first branch code was 2649. In addition, its IFSC code has been changed to SBIN00488. The first IFSC number of this branch was SBIN02649.
Similarly, the name of the IFSi tower located in Delhi has been changed to Nehru Place Branch. Now its branch code will be 04688. Similarly this branch will have IFSC code SBIN04688.
