It is worth mentioning that a similar incident was registered in the school three years ago. Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Vishal Garg told that physical training (PT) teachers of GD Birla Education Center School have been arrested. Earlier, they were questioned.
A senior Kolkata Police official, while talking about the matter, told that the girl's parents had lodged a complaint in Jadavpur police station. At the same time, hospital sources told that the girl was admitted to the government-run SSKM hospital last night. The hospital confirmed her sexual harassment. The investigation report has been handed over to the police.
School Principal S. Nath told that we consider the safety of children as the most important. Meanwhile, West Bengal Education Minister Partha Chatterjee said that she is considering the incident with utmost seriousness. At the same time, State Child Protection Commission Chairman Ananya Chakraborty said that he has asked the school officials why the CCTV cameras were not installed there in the last three years.
