Rohit Sharma got rich prize in Sri Lanka series



New Delhi: Rohit Sharma, the officiating captain in the ODI series against Sri Lanka and the third double century in ODIs in Mohali, got the prize for a spectacular performance. Rohit Sharma has become the top five batsmen in ICC ODI rankings.

In the ODI career, Rohit Sharma has secured the number five spot for the first time with a score of more than 800 points. After winning Team India's 2-1 series, Rohit Sharma finished the series with 816 points. Rohit Sharma's partner Shikhar Dhawan has also gained a place in the new rankings. Man of the series Dhawan has now moved to 14th place.

In the latest rankings for batsmen, Indian captain Virat Kohli topped the rankings with 876 points, then D. Africa's AB de Villiers is in second place with 872 points. Third and fourth positions are David Warner and Pakistan's Babar Azam. Where Warner has 865 points, Azam is at number four with 846 points.

Talking about the Indian bowlers, leg-spinner Yuswendra Chahal jumped 23 places to 28th. Chahal had achieved 6 wickets in this series. Chahal's partner Kuldeep Yadav has climbed 16 places to 56th. All-rounder Hardik Pandya's 10-position haul was achieved and now he has reached his ODI career best position of 45th place.
