Mumbai: Padma Vibhushan actor Shashi Kapoor died on Monday evening at the age of 79, due to prolonged illness in Kokilaben Hospital. Who was Shashi Kapoor?

Shashi was the youngest son of Prithviraj Kapoor. Prithviraj had three sons. Raj Kapoor, Shammi Kapoor and Shashi Kapoor. Shashi Kapoor started his career with 'Prakash Theater' drama 'Shankutla'. His debut film was Fire. It was made by his elder brother Raj Kapoor. In the Awara film, Shashi played the role of childhood of his elder brother Raj Kapoor.
