New Delhi: The decision of the CBI court in the 2G Spectrum scam has come. The court has acquitted the accused former Union Minister A Raja and Kanimozhi.
Earlier, considering the cases related to the 2G spectrum scam, the court directed all the accused including Raja, Kanimozhi and others to appear before it on Thursday for the verdict.
The hearing in the two-G Spectrum scam began in 2011 when the court had fixed charges against 17 accused. The charges in which the allegations have been fixed are ranged from six months to life imprisonment.
Among the cases in which the decision is to come on Thursday, Essar Group promoter Ravikant Ruia and Anshuman Ruia, promoter of Loop Telecom Kiran Khaitan, her husband IP Khaitan and Essar Group's director (Strategy and Planning) Development Surf are accused.
In the first case filed by CBI, in addition to Raja and Kanimozhi, former telecom secretary Siddhartha Behura, former Raja's former private secretary RK Chandolia, Swan Telecom promoter Shahid Usman Balwa and Vinod Goenka, Unitech Limited MD Sanjay Chandra and Rialans Anil Dhirubhai Ambani group's top three Executive Officer Gautam Doshi, Surendra Pipara and Hari Nayar are accused.
