IPL 2018: Super King 'Dhoni' returns to Chennai, Ratan players will get money



New Delhi: The Indian Premier League (IPL) governing council today cleared the way for Mahendra Singh Dhoni's Chennai SuperKings (CSK) to return to the league from 2018 stage after completing a two-year suspension.

After the meeting here, the IPL Operations Council allowed CSK and Rajasthan Royals to retain their 2015 team players.

"IPL franchisee team can retain players (pre-auction) and secure five cricketers under both 'Right to match' (during auction)," BCCI executive secretary Amitabh Chaudhary said in the statement after the meeting. "The CSK and Rajasthan Royals will have the pool of players available for their team to maintain the players' rights and 'right-to-match', which were played for their team respectively in 2015 and the 2017 IPL RPS or Gujarat Lions was included in the team. '' Right to match 'means the old franchisee can add the highest bidder to the team.

RETAIN PLAYERS RETURNS OF MONEY

In the first three players to be retaken before the auction, the first player will get Rs.15 crore, the second one is 11 crore and the third will receive seven crore rupees. There is also a second option. If two players are retaken, then first 12.5 million rupees and the other will get Rs 8.5 crore rupees. In the event of a player being retaken, he will get Rs 12.5 crore. Teams can have up to 25 foreign players and can have at least 18 players.

85 crore will be the salary cap

The salary cap for the teams has been determined. For the IPL 11 auction in 2018, the salary cap of the teams has been kept at Rs 80 crore, while in 2019, it will be 82 crore and in 2020 85 million rupees. The teams have to spend a minimum of 75 percent of the salary cap in every session.

Reserve price increase for auction

The reserve price for the auction has been increased from Rs 10 lakh to 20 lakhs, 20 to 30 lakhs and 30 to 40 lakhs for uncaped players. For the capped players, the price of the first 30 lakh has been increased to 50 lakhs, 50 to 75 lakhs, while one, one and a half million and two crore have been preserved as before.
