By March 2019, 24 hours of electricity will be available in all parts of the country. I.e. from large cities to small towns, 24 hours power supply will be available. This information was given by Union Minister RK Singh in the Lok Sabha during the Question Hour on Thursday.
Minister RK Singh told the House, "Center has fixed the target of 24-hour power supply in all parts of the country till March 2019. Along with this, the work of linking the villages which have not yet been added to the power facility is going on. Electricity is still not available in 1,694 villages in the country. All will be able to get 24 hours free power from March 2019.
Minister RK Singh also told the House that if electricity will not be available for 24 hours from March 2019, there will also be a penalty on the power unit. Their mistake will not be counted when technical difficulties will arise. In addition to technical flaws, if any power is deducted for any reason, the power unit will be fined.
He also informed that the Central Government has decided to reduce transmission and distribution until January 2019. He also informed that in order to promote electricity across the country, Rs. 175000 crores are being spent.
