Fire in Mumbai's Kamala Mills Compound: 14 dead



In a suburb area of Lower Parel, there was a fire in the midnight night of Thursday-Friday. According to the news agency, 14 people have died in the accident so far. Since 19 people are severely sweated. They have been admitted to Sion and KEM Hospital. According to the information, this fire took place in a four-story building of Senapati Bapat Marg. The post-mortem report says that people died due to a knee injury. Prime Minister Modi and the President expressed hope of recovering the injured soon after expressing grief over the incident.

These fire took place after 12 o'clock on Thursday night. BMC's Disaster Management staff reached the spot and tried to evacuate people from there.

Dr. Rajesh Dere, who posted postmortem, said that 14 people died from a knee injury.

Broadcast of some TV channels closed

The impact of fire also took place in the transmission of many TV channels. Transmission of ET Now, Mirror Now, Zoom and TV 9 Marathi was closed. All these TV channels telecast from this compound. Because of the fire, they could not be harmed, so the broadcast was closed.

There are pubs and restaurants here too. There are also several corporate offices. The Lower Parel office is open in this area for 24 hours. Meanwhile, a case of non-intentional murder has been registered against the owner of the Mojo Mestro restaurant

Modi tweeted, "I have my feelings with the families of those killed in the accident and wished for the wounded early."

Confirmation of death of 14 people

News Agency quoted BMC sources as saying that the death toll of 14 people has been confirmed. More than 20 people have suffered severely. The condition of some of these is very serious.

All the injured have been edited in Mumbai's KEM and Sion Hospitals. BMC's Disaster Management Staff has managed to extinguish the fire with fire tenders, emergency ambulance, and water tanker.

It is said that around 50 people were present on the third floor of this four-story building at the time of the accident. This is a commercial building. There are also some hotels here. According to TV channels, 11 women and three men are among those killed.
